LinkedKey Summer Camp

The two types of LinkedKey Summer Camps 2019 are the Pre-Learning Camp and LinkedKey Summer Camp

Pre-Learning Camp

Pre-learning camp helps students in G5-6, G7-8, and G9-10 learn course material for the upcoming school year in advance. Each day, the three classes for the students are English, Math Contest, and Public Speaking or Debate.

LinkedKey Summer Camp

LinkedKey Summer Camp is a one week Communication Camp with learning topics including Debate, PS, DECA, MUN, and Mock Trial. This camp allows students to understand the differences among the various types of communication competitions.

Pre-Learning Camp

Pre-learning camp helps students in G5-6, G7-8, and G9-10 learn course material for the upcoming school year in advance.

Each day, the three classes for the students are English, Math Contest, and Public Speaking or Debate.

Math Contest class is suitable for students with limited experience with contests looking to improve their logical thinking skills. This class can help familiarize students with correct methods and processes to prepare for math contests. After this course, students can continue taking math contest courses during the school year for their appropriate grade starting September.

English class uses the read then write approach and immediate feedback from the teacher to help students improve reading comprehension and writing skills. This course has the same level of difficulty as the regular English course at LinkedKey.

Public Speaking class helps students overcome stage fright and a lack of confidence. By utilizing current news, this class not only allows students to practice communication skills but also aids them in gaining a better understanding of the world. This course has the same difficulty as the regular Public Speaking course at LinkedKey.

Debate not only helps students practice public speaking but also teaches them to listen to others’ opinions and more effectively convey one’s own viewpoint. The diverse range of debate topics will allow students to understand the importance and benefit of contemplating issues from various perspectives. This course has the same level of difficulty as the regular Debate L1 or L2 course at LinkedKey.

Pre-Learning Camp Times:

one session includes 2 weeks (Mon-Fri)

For G5-6 and G7-8, camp is in July.

The dates are July 8th-19th and July 22nd-August 2nd.

For G9-10, camp is in August.

The dates are August 6th-16th and August 19th-30th.

Registration Note: Refer to the upcoming grade in September as student’s grade for course registration. Lunch is included if registered in two or more classes. Registration in a single class is also possible.

LinkedKey Summer Camp

LinkedKey Summer Camp is a one week Communication Camp with learning topics including Debate,Public Speaking,DECA,MUN, and Mock Trial. This camp allows students to understand the differences among the various types of communication competitions.

Topics in the first week include Debate, DECA, and Public Speaking. Learning Debate will enable students to understand the significance of having a rich foundation of knowledge. Learning DECA will help students gain the fundamentals of business, developing an awareness about the world economic system and business cases.

Topics in the second week include MUN and Mock Trial Through simulating United Nations meetings, students can experience the principles of the United Nations such as maintaining world peace, respect, and freedom. Through simulating court trials, students not only will gain an understanding of the legal system but also become more personally familiar with the system, know the purpose of establishing laws, how to abide by the law, and how to apply laws.

LinkedKey Summer Camp is recommended for students G6 and above.
